Το Κασκάτ (καταρράκτης) στο Ερεβάν της Αρμενίας
The Cascade is located in Yerevan, Armenia. White travertine stone was used for building the complex since only this stone was available in the amount sufficient for such a large-scale construction.
Το Κασκάτ (καταρράκτης) βρίσκεται στο Ερεβάν της Αρμενίας. Για την κατασκευή του συγκροτήματος χρησιμοποιήθηκε λευκή πέτρα τραβερτίνη αφού μόνο αυτή η πέτρα ήταν διαθέσιμη σε ποσότητα επαρκή για μια τόσο μεγάλης κλίμακας κατασκευή.
The Cascade complex is an architectural composition. It consists of several elements: a museum (Gafeschyan Art Center), a staircase, a fountain and observation decks that offer a panoramic view of Yerevan.
Το Κασκάτ είναι μια αρχιτεκτονική σύνθεση. Αποτελείται από πολλά στοιχεία: ένα μουσείο (Κέντρο τέχνης Gafeschyan), μια σκάλα, ένα σιντριβάνι και καταστρώματα παρατήρησης που προσφέρουν πανοραμική θέα στο Ερεβάν. 
The Cascade consists of 5 hillside terraces connected with 572 steps. Each floor and sector of the external staircase is a unique work of art. In the inner part of the building, there are elevators and escalators connecting all platforms from the foundation to the top.
Το Cascade αποτελείται από 5 βεράντες στην πλαγιά ενός λόφου που συνδέονται με 572 σκαλοπάτια. Κάθε όροφος και τομέας της εξωτερικής σκάλας είναι ένα μοναδικό έργο τέχνης. Στο εσωτερικό μέρος του κτιρίου, υπάρχουν ανελκυστήρες και κυλιόμενες σκάλες που συνδέουν όλες τις πλατφόρμες από τη θεμελίωση μέχρι την κορυφή. 
The uppermost platform is called the Monumental Terrace. It houses the 40th Anniversary of Soviet Armenia monument standing 118 m tall. The terrace consists of a zone bordered by 15 columns symbolically reflecting Armenia’s historical heritage.
Η πλατφόρμα στην κορυφή ονομάζεται Μνημειώδης Ταράτσα. Στεγάζει το μνημείο της 40ης επετείου της Σοβιετικής Αρμενίας, ύψους 118 μέτρων. Η βεράντα αποτελείται από μια ζώνη που οριοθετείται από 15 στήλες που αντικατοπτρίζουν συμβολικά την ιστορική κληρονομιά της Αρμενίας.
The top of the Cascade can be reached by a long set of escalators, and opens up a view of Yerevan and Mount Ararat in the distance. The Opera House and other notable buildings are also easily visible from the very heights. There are several levels as you descend, featuring fountains and more art.
Η κορυφή του Καταρράκτη είναι προσβάσιμη με μια μεγάλη σειρά κυλιόμενων σκαλών και ανοίγει μια θέα στο Ερεβάν και στο όρος Αραράτ σε απόσταση. The Aznavour Centre is Aznavour Foundation’s first cultural project in Yerevan and is located at the top of Cascade Hill. Aznavour Centre hosts educational and cultural events: concerts, exhibitions, conferences etc.

A fantastic site with truly amazing views, right here, is one of the best viewpoints in Yerevan. From the top, you can admire some of Yerevan’s best attractions. Propped right in front of you is the famous Opera. On the right side, you can notice the distinctive, futuristic-looking building of Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex.

The project was initiated by the Cafesjian Museum Foundation, which joined forces with architect David Hudson to develop the project of the museum that was opened in 2009 and became the Cafesjian Center for the Arts.

The original work of the contemporary sculptor F. Botero is located in the park opposite the Cascade complex. It is a figure of a rich naked woman reclining on a pedestal with a cigarette in her hands. The installation of the sculpture caused a contradictory reaction in society. Some citizens argued that it was a challenge to traditional moral principles, while others, on the contrary, considered it very original.

One of the sculptures is dedicated to Alexander Tamanyan, a prominent Yerevan architect. The concept of creating cascading waterfalls and terraced gardens between the two parts of the city was first proposed by architect Alexander Tamanyan, who worked on the project of modern Yerevan in the 1920s.

The shop of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts museum looks rather like an exhibition than a retail store.

There are a number of cafes and restaurants on both sides of the Cascade frequented by locals and tourists. Classical and jazz concerts often take place at the Cascade during spring, summer and early autumn, with spectators sitting on the steps.
