The Ribera del Duero Wine Route receives the FIJET 2023 award for the Best Spanish Wine Route
The purpose of the award is to recognize and honor institutions and companies in the tourism sector, valuing excellence in the management and promotion of destinations.
The new edition of FITUR was the setting in which the Ribera del Duero Wine Route received the award for Best Spanish Wine Route from the Spanish Federation of Tourism Journalists and Writers at the FIJET Spain 2023 Awards. This award has the objective of recognizing and honoring institutions and companies in the tourism sector, valuing excellence in the management of the different actors, the promotion of tourism and its destinations.
The person who awarded the distinction, FIJET Spain, is a professional entity that is represented by all sectors of journalistic activity and communication that carry out informative work on information, analysis and projection of topics related to tourist activities and their destinations.
Receiving this award is an important recognition for the Ribera del Duero Wine Route which, in the words of Miguel Ángel Gayubo, its president, “provides a dose of enthusiasm that helps us to remain focused on our objectives, improving services for greater satisfaction of the tourists who come to the Ribera del Duero”.
The Ribera del Duero Route at FITUR
Once again, this year, the Ribera del Duero Wine Route attended the fair together with the other Wine Routes of the region within the stand of the Junta de Castilla y León. From January 18 to 22, professionals from the world of tourism and the general public were able to get to know a little better both the offer that the Route has and the work that is being carried out to improve the services offered.
The Ribera del Duero Wine Route attended the exhibition with an intense schedule of appointments with the media, tour operators and partners in the sector, taking advantage of it to establish collaborations, generating a network that benefits the improvement of tourism development in the area.
About the Ribera del Duero Wine Route
The Ribera del Duero Wine Route is a tourist consortium made up of tourist entities and companies from the Ribera del Duero. Consolidated as the third most visited wine tourism itinerary in Spain, it covers the four Castilian-Leonese provinces that include the Designation of Origin of the same name, Burgos, Segovia, Soria and Valladolid.
It is made up of 304 associates and adherents. Among them are 95 towns, 5 associations, the Regulatory Council of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin and 203 tourist establishments. The Ribera del Duero Wine Route has been chosen as a recommended destination by prestigious newspapers such as The New York Times, The Washington Post or Traveler’s Food National Geographic UK.
