Today I represented the Cyprus Travel Writers & Journalists Society at a press presentation of the BlueBARGE project organized by the Multimaritime Group. The presentation was under the auspices of the Shipping Deputy Minister to the President Mrs Marina Hadjimanolis. With a consortium of 14 diverse partners from 9 European countries, BlueBARGE will supply the offshore electrical power to moored vessels and contribute to the decarbonisation of shipping.
Cyprus plays an important role in the project where the set-up of the prototype will take place at a Cyprus Shipyard in Limassol Port and the testing will be done pm a Cyprus flagged vessel at the Anchorage.
