Cyprus Travel Writers & Journalists Society visit to Larnaka Tourism Board for regional tourism updates

A delegation of Cyprus Travel Writers & Journalists Society visited today the Head Offices of Larnaka Tourism Board; hosted at the premises of Larnaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to attend a meeting with Ms. Nana Asmeni Pavlou, Officer of Larnaka Tourism Board.

At the beginning of the meeting through video conferencing, the chairman of the Larnaka Tourism Board & Honorary President of the Larnaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Dinos Lefkaridis, listed the challenges facing the tourism sector and concluded that: “There are a range of reforms under consideration in Larnaka. Especially interesting will be to learn the priorities and developments from several local, regional areas and the new projects undertaken the last few years. I would like to refer also to the many initiatives that have taken place using modern technology; and I’m sure our valued colleague Nana will tell you all about in detail. Thank you on all accounts for your interest on our work”.

The meeting which was arranged by Nana Asmeni Pavlou, provided an opportunity to discuss and gain some insight on Larnaka Tourism vision for the region.

The meeting with Ms. Nana Asmeni Pavlou focused on issues of tourism developments in Larnaka area, new strategies and vision. She presented in detail the recent tourism work and projects carried out in the region by the Larnaka Tourism Board. A series of innovative virtual projects for Larnaka region were also referred to.

The overall purpose of the visit was to “build an open line of communication with the Larnaka Tourism Board”.
