The paved street Dionysiou Areopagitou is one of the best places in Athens for a walk, as it offers one of the best views of the Acropolis. No doubt the feeling is different!
Ο πλακόστρωτος δρόμος Διονυσίου Αρεοπαγίτου είναι ένα από τα καλύτερα σημεία της Αθήνας για βόλτα, καθώς προσφέρει υπέροχη θέα της Ακρόπολης. Χωρίς αμφιβολία το συναίσθημα είναι διαφορετικό! 
It was named after Dionysios Areopagitis, the first member of the ancient court Arios Pagos who converted to Christianity around 50 AD.
Πήρε το όνομά της από τον Διονύσιο Αρεοπαγίτη, το πρώτο μέλος της αρχαίας αυλής του Άρειου Πάγου που ασπάστηκε τον χριστιανισμό γύρω στο 50 μ.Χ.
The street was first mapped in 1857 in a position more northern than where it is located today, adjacently to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
Η οδός χαρτογραφήθηκε για πρώτη φορά το 1857 σε θέση πιο βόρεια από αυτή που βρίσκεται σήμερα, δίπλα στο Ωδείο Ηρώδου του Αττικού.
