We hit this mid-year mark. Late spring is always reserved for our Annual Meeting. We are very pleased to inform that a regular Fijet Croatia General Assembly was held on 8th of June in St.Ivan Zelina situated in Zagreb County. We held Fijet Croatia annual meeting and after 4 years we had election annual meeting for the all Fijet Croatia bodies.From the beginning Tina Eterovic Cubrilo presides Fijet Croatia with unwavering dedication to the Fijet. Her dedication, knowledge and power are truly appreciated by all members. Her ideas, proposals and efforts played a crucial role in Fijet successful development. Once again, Fijet Croatia elected her as the president in the next 4 years mandate. The new V.P. is Vesna Juric Rukavina. The new/old elected Executive Committee is composed by: Mislav Togonal, Tomislav Radic, Zeljko Marusic, Slobodan Kadic, Petra Somek, Marija Dejanovic, Paulina Peko Salja, Ivan Dodig and Marijana Rebic, SG.

Marco Polo Award Committee is appointed with: Ante Gavranovic, Zeljko Zutelija, Marija Baric, Jadranka Rilovic, Branko Uvodic.The 2024 General Assembly offered a powerful opportunity to come together, share our unique perspectives, and strategize solutions for a success of Fijet Croatia with reviewing financials 2023, setting the budget 2024 on the basis of the Action Plan, and setting goals for the upcoming year. It marked a very successful 2023 year, during which the members of the association supported and participated in Fijet activities and events, as follows: Congress in Tunisia, Golden Apple ceremony in Timisoara-Romania, Young Journalists Academy in Tunisia, Photo Exhibition “Travel and Emotions” in Slovakia and Press Trip Fundata- Romania, Mediterranean Tourism Forum, Malta.
Our media promoting of Croatia was with a success, especially new destinations to give them more visible rank in tourism, as Meridiana Slavonica was, the place of 2023 Annual Meeting.We followed members who published their books, made presentations of Fijet Croatia and our work in Zagreb and in different cities of the country. We participated in the organization of the International Tourism Festival held in Solin, where International and Croatian Fijet members were awarded for extraordinary contribution to tourism. At the end of 2023, Marco Polo Award Ceremony was organized in Zagreb, where our international and domestic Fijet guests shared the great moments with awarded journalists for the best reportages. The General Assembly adopted the Activity Plan Program for 2024.
Before the meeting, Tourist Office St. Ivan Zelina presented the new one unique project in tourism, the Magical Zelinski Fairy Park, at the Kos Jurišić Winery. This project, in collaboration with private renters (31), connects private accommodation facilities in Sv. Ivan Zelina with the area’s natural heritage and the legends that have been part of its history for centuries. Thirty-one accommodations are each marked with a different plant, selected for its proximity and significance to the surrounding environment.Fijet Croatia continues to participate all Fijet Events. Two young journalists and students will participate Fijet Academy. By Tina proposal to the GA Committee and EC, Croatian County Medjimurje will be awarded by Golden Apple from 26 to 28 September. We nominated International Fijet Members for the award “Antonio Conte” on International Tourism festival what will be held in Solin from 13 to 17. November. Marco Polo will be again the main Ceremony where we will award the best story from Congress in Tunisia.We started several new projects. One of them is started this month in cooperation with National Association of tourism congress professionals to media promote Croatian destinations. Last week we promoted Karlovac County situated in continental part of our country.
Many Fijet members (Jurica Galic Juka, Ivana Alilovic, Marinka Zubcic Mubrin, Boris Ljubicic, Zeljko Marusic, Karin Mimica, Paulina Peko Salja) received international and domestic awards for their extraordinary contributions for professional activities. It was an occasion to congratulate colleagues that their efforts and contributions in tourism are valued. Fijet Croatia continues to develop Ideas, Topics, Activities.
