New Armenia Television Company is interested for a Cyprus tourism documentary

At the initiative of Cyprus Travel Writers & Journalists Society, members of our Association consisting of the President Phivos Nicolaides and Loucas Hamatsos, journalist of RIK and spokesman of our Association, met today -11 September, 2024 – in the Head Offices of CyBC in Nicosia with the Acting General Manager of Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (RIK) and the Armenian Honorary Consul Mr. Martinos Minasyan to discuss possible ways of collaboration in the field of tourism filming.

During the fraternal meeting, the Consul was able to inform those present about the new tourism prospects of Armenia and the possible exchange media trips to promote tourism on both countries. The Honorary Consul explained to us the target of organizing with New Armenia Television Company, both side press trips for mutual benefit. Their program is jointly presented by New Armenia TV, US Armenia TV, and ARTN TV, and is also available on the Armflix TV app. They are specialized in promoting tourism by showcasing the beauty, culture, and attractions of various destinations, with a global audience spanning both television and digital platforms. The aim is to plan an episode dedicated to Cyprus, focusing on its rich history, cultural diversity, and stunning landscape.Mr. Costas Nicolaides, Acting General Manager, underlined that they are ready to cooperate on this direction and informed the Consul about the rich activity of CyBC and the programs already exist on Armenian community in Cyprus both through TV and Radio successful programs.

Loucas Hamatsos, journalist of CyBC and spokesman of our Association reiterate to the fact that special programs on Armenian community are included in his programs, and is more than happy to enhance this activity towards this direction.

Phivos Nicolaides, President of the Cyprus Travel Writers & Journalists Society, said that they are willing to work together and offer any possible assistance to both sides in promoting this potential collaboration.Thank you both, the Acting General Manager of CyBC Mr. Costas Nicolaides for the warm welcome, and the Armenian Honorary Consul Mr. Martinos Minasyan, for his interesting views on the discussed matter.
